Well now that we know that Santa swaps his sled in the South pole and comes straight up here to Australia on a surfboard with Kangas we really need to know a little bit about these kangas and what better place to start than with their names ??
As I have said earlier we need to have one called Rufus similar to Rudolph and the Latin name for red kangaroo is Macropus Rufus so this fits in really well
According to Wikipedia, in  traditional stories Santa Claus's sleigh is led by nine reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, Blitzen, and Rudolph.
The names of Donder and Blitzen apparently come from Germanic words for Thunder and Lightning !! Pretty impressive names eh ??
So maybe for a start can we match Donder and Blitzen with some indigenous names for thunder and lightning ??
We need help here with the names Any ideas ??
I'm sure being Australian we should really have at least one larrikin Kanga !!
Larrikin is an Australian slang word and is defined as someone who is always enjoying himself/herself, harmless prankster All part of the rich Australian way of life
